Nudgee International College
Chae Yujin from Korea studies at a Nudgee International College in Australia and wirtes about her experience.
A glimpse of my new school life in Australia...
Hello my name is Chae Yujin (Jenny). I am from Korea and I have been in
Australia for already one month. When I first came to Australia I felt afraid and
nervous.
Before I came to Nudgee International College, I felt afraid of studying together
with students from other countries. My first day at school is still fresh in my
memory.
NIC is very international. The first time I looked at and talked to my friends from another country, it was such a novelty! It is an international school so I can make many friends from other countries.
Generally Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean friends are with me to have lunch, play sports and chatter. So we can learn about another countries language
and culture.
Also, the teachers help students and cracks jokes. The teachers feel friendly towards us, so I think the teachers and students are friendly.
NIC takes time for assembly and sports once per week. The assembly is when
we hear school news and congratulate someone on a birthday or success with all
students.
Sports is physical exercise in several teams. I think that time is good. The most important thing is to improve my English ability at school. NIC is the school that provides a high school preparation course for international students.
I think NIC is helping me improve my English skill a lot. I want
to make friends who come all over the world and learn about different cultures. Also, I want to study very hard and follow the school rules. Thank you.
